What Is Waist-to-Height Ratio?

Waist-to-height ratio compares your waist circumference with your height. The formula is simple: waist circumference ÷ height. For example, if your waist is 85 cm and your height is 170 cm, your waist-to-height ratio is 0.50.

Why This Calculator Is Useful

Waist-to-height ratio can be useful because it focuses on abdominal fat. Two people may have the same body weight, but different waist sizes. A higher waist measurement compared to height may suggest higher abdominal fat risk.
